XIRR Calculator
Annualized return for irregular cash flows
How to Use the XIRR Calculator
XIRR finds the annualized return of investments made on irregular dates, like SIPs or staggered purchases.
- Enter each cash flow with its date (investments negative, redemptions positive).
- Add all transactions.
- See the annualized XIRR percentage.
XIRR Concept
XIRR
Σ CFᵢ / (1 + XIRR)^(dᵢ/365) = 0
The rate that makes the present value of all dated cash flows zero, solved iteratively.
Example:
Input: invest -10,000; redeem +12,000 a year later
Calculation: solve for rate
Result: ≈ 20% XIRR
Real-World Use Cases
SIP Returns
